Men's Central Jail Mobile Notary Services
Jail Notary Services in Downtown Los Angeles
NRH Mobile Notary Public provides mobile notary services for individuals housed at Men’s Central Jail (MCJ) in Los Angeles.
I specialize in correctional-facility notarizations and understand that obtaining a notarized signature from an incarcerated person involves additional coordination that is not normally required for a standard mobile notary appointment.
Arranging a Notarization at Men’s Central Jail
A family member, attorney, law office or other requesting party may contact me when an incarcerated individual needs a document notarized. Before scheduling, I need enough information to identify the signer and understand the requested notarial service.
Information Needed
- Requesting party’s full name, telephone number and email address
- Incarcerated person’s full legal name and date of birth
- LASD booking number, when available
- Current housing/facility information
- Copy or description of the document requiring notarization
Documents Must Be Ready
Documents should be prepared before the appointment and ready for the incarcerated person to review and sign. I cannot select a document for the signer, tell the signer what information should be entered, or provide legal advice.
If the document requires information that only the signer can provide, the requesting party should consider whether the signer will reasonably be able to provide that information before scheduling the visit.
Correctional Facility Scheduling
Appointments at a jail differ from ordinary mobile notary appointments. Facility operations, security procedures, signer movement, housing changes, lockdowns and other institutional circumstances can affect access. I cannot guarantee access to an incarcerated signer at a particular time merely because an appointment has been requested.
Identification and Notarial Requirements
Every notarization must comply with California notary law. I must be able to satisfactorily identify the signer using identification permitted by California law and complete all other requirements of the requested notarial act.
Independent Service
NRH Mobile Notary Public is an independent mobile notary business and is not affiliated with, employed by, endorsed by or an official representative of Men’s Central Jail, the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department or Los Angeles County.
